A புறத் திணை: a catch-all category for themes common across war/kingship poetry that don't fit neatly into வெட்சி through பாடாண் - the "general" புறத் திணை.

Not every war poem fits neatly into a raid, a siege, or a victory - பொதுவியல் is where a poet's broader reflections on kingship and battle, belonging to none of the named categories, still found a home.

A general reflection on kingship or war that doesn't belong to any single named திணை.
